Born on November 1, 1965 and having graduated in B.A.(Hons.) from DAV College, Chandigarh in 1986 and  an alumni of the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, he was enrolled as an Advocate in August 1989 and practiced at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. His Lordship’s father Shri. Surjit Singh Sandhawalia was the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court From 1978 to 1983, and of the Patna High Court from 1983 to 1987, thus he is a second generation Judge

As a lawyer his Lordship has represented the Union Territory, Chandigarh Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, the Official Liquidator attached to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Punjab Financial Corporation, the Punjab State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (MARKFED), Punjab State Electricity Board, Food Corporation of India, Punjab State Agricultural and Marketing Board, Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation and the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Having  handled a mixed bag of work pertaining to Criminal, Civil, Service, Land Acquisition and Constitutional law on the private side besides being on the panel of the aforesaid institutions led to his elevation in the year 2011. His Lordship has been an avid sportsman during his College days representing his College and University in the sport of Lawn Tennis and still pursues his passion for travel and nature based activities like hiking and is also an avid golf buff.

His Lordship was born to Mrs. Sarla and Mr. P.K. Palli on 18th September, 1964, at Patiala. He completed his graduation in Commerce in the year 1985 from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He qualified his law in 1988 and joined the profession in the same year, starting his practice in the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. He was enrolled as a member of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana on 13th August 1988.
      During his period at the bar, he practiced in various fields of law such as civil, revenue, constitutional and industrial and labour law. He joined as Additional Advocate General, Punjab on 1st September, 2004 and continued in office till March, 2007. During this period, he handled many important matters for the State of Punjab specially entrusted to him. His Lordship was appointed as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel on 29th July 2004 from which he later resigned in December, 2004. His Lordship was designated as a Senior Advocate on 26th April, 2007. His Lordship was appointed as an Amicus by the High Court in a few contentious matters and also argued important propositions before Full Benches and matters admitted to Division Benches. His Lordship conducted several matters in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and also appeared before Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court.
      His Lordship was appointed as an Additional Judge of High Court of Punjab and Haryana on 28th December, 2013 and thereafter as Permanent Judge on 19.12.2014.
      His Lordship's great grandfather and grandfather were renowned lawyers of District Bar, Patiala. His Lordship's late father was also a designated Senior Counsel and was later elevated to the Bench and retired in the year 1998 from the High Court of Himachal Pradesh

Born on 18.5.1963 at Shimla. Father, Justice late Sh. Hira Singh Thakur, was a Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. Mother Smt. Nirmala Thakur is highly educated and is a renowned English poetess. Had schooling from St. Edwards School, Shimla and from the same school, completed I.C.S.E in the year 1979. Bachelor's degree in Arts (Honours) was obtained from Govt. Degree College, Shimla. Bachelor's degree in law was obtained from the Himachal Pradesh University. Commenced practice in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh in the year 1987 and handled civil, criminal and constitutional work. Remained as Addl. His Lordship belongs to a family of legal luminaries as his great grandfather, Late Nand Kishore Prasad Singh practised at the District Courts, Chapra. His grandfather, Late Baldeo Prasad Singh, Barrister-at-Law, practised at the Patna High Court and remained the President of the Barristers’ Association for a long period of time. His father, Justice N.P. Singh, was a Former Judge of The Supreme Court of India and was also the Chairman of Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal.

 After completing his schooling from Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi, His Lordship did his graduation in Political Science and LL.B. from Patna University. His Lordship was enrolled as an Advocate in 1991. His Lordship appeared as a Central Government Counsel for the Union of India, represented Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) and remained Additional Standing Counsel for the Indian Audit and Accounts Department and Assistant Solicitor General of India at Patna High Court. His Lordship appeared in Criminal and Writ matters.

His Lordship was elevated to the Bench as an Additional Judge of the Patna High Court on 15th April, 2015 and thereafter as a Permanent Judge on 20th April, 2016.

On 2nd November, 2023, His Lordship was sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.

Justice Manjari Nehru Kaul belongs to a well known and an illustrious family of lawyers of Ambala. She did major part of her schooling from Convent of Jesus & Mary, Ambala, before doing her matriculation from S.A.Jain Senior Model High School, Ambala City. After graduating from S.A.Jain College, Ambala City, she went on to pursue LL.B. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Besides this, she was also a member of the Kurukshetra University Cricket Team and participated in various inter-college cricket tournaments. She was a member of her school and college debates and declamation teams where she won innumerable accolades. Tracing his roots to a humble background, His Lordship joined LLB course in the Panjab University after his graduation in the year 1987 and enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in the year 1990 as a first-generation Lawyer. In a practice stretching over three decades, His Lordship represented a wide range of institutions including The Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh Administration, various autonomous bodies including Punjab Urban Development Authority, Punjab School Education Board, Punjab Technical University, Guru Nanak Dev University amongst others. Born on 7th June, 1965 at Amritsar to late Shri Justice D.V.Sehgal (Former Lokpal, Punjab) and Smt.Rani Sehgal, Justice Suvir Sehgal has more than 31 years of experience in legal practice.

After completing B.Com (Hons.) in 1985, he went on to obtain Law Degree from Panjab University in 1988 and enrolled as a member of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in August, 1988. Within few years of his joining the profession, he was unanimously elected as the Treasurer of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association. During his years of legal practice, he handled diverse cases before Punjab and Haryana High Court under Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Service, Labour and Property Law. He remained Senior Standing Counsel for the Chandigarh Administration for two and a half years and worked as Additional Advocate General, Punjab for about ten years. Further, he had the distinction of being on the Senior panel of Government of India. He also represented various Boards and Corporations of both Punjab and Haryana. He lent his expertise as a member of the Building By-laws Committee, set up by the Chandigarh Administration to carry out amendments in the Punjab Capital (D&R) Building Rules, 1952.

He was an added member, Faculty of Laws, Panjab University for two consecutive terms. He remained Executive Member of Holiday Home Society (Regd.) Sector 24, Chandigarh and later became its Vice-President.

He was elevated as Additional Judge of High Court of Punjab and Haryana on 26th October, 2019.

Born in New Delhi on 21 June, 1966, Justice Alka Sarin graduated from Delhi University with a B.A. (Hons.) Degree in Political Science. She enrolled at the Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and obtained her LL.B. Degree in 1990 with a First Division. She initially practiced before the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. While practicing at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Alka Sarin obtained her LL.M. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri was born on 30th August, 1965 at Nabha, District Patiala, Punjab. After completing ICSE (10th) from Punjab Public School, Nabha in the year 1980, did B.A. Honours School in Economics in the year 1984, LL.B. in the year 1987 and LL.M. in the year 1990 from Punjabi University Campus, Patiala.

Started law practice as a first generation lawyer at Subordinate Courts, Nabha and shifted to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh in the year 1991 where he practiced till his elevation. His Lordship was born on September 5, 1968 at Chandigarh, in a family of renowned lawyers and publishers of law journals.

Is progeny of Lala Ganpat Rai Suri, Vakil and Waqai Navis (Court Chronicler) in service of Sardar Maha Singh and Sardar Charat Singh (father and grandfather of Maharaja Ranjit Singh). Lala G.R. Suri's great grandson, Lala Dharam Das Suri (Lordship's great grandfather) started law practice in the year 1889 at Saharanpur (U.P.) and in 1892 shifted to practise at the Chief Court of Punjab. The High Court of Judicature was established at Lahore in 1919 and the Chief Court was abolished. The Suri family's journey remained in sync with the seat of the High Court, from Lahore to Shimla and then to Chandigarh in 1955.

His Lordship studied at St. John's High School, graduated in humanities from Government College Chandigarh and graduated in law from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Awarded Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (Bronze). Adjudged National Cadet Corps Best Cadet (Naval wing) of the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh Directorate and fifth at national level. Represented the Country in the Indo-Canada Youth Exchange Program, as part of a distinguished group selected from across the nation. Awarded College Colour for two consecutive years. Having a keen interest in pro bono work, he regularly accepted cases from the High Court Legal Services Committee and the Punjab State Legal Services Authority.

Her Lordship was born on August 30th 1973 in London and comes from a distinguished business family settled in Panchkula. She completed her early education at Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, before pursuing an undergraduate degree in Humanities from GCG, Sector 11, Chandigarh. She subsequently pursued her LLB degree from the Department of Laws, Panjab University and thereafter she got enrolled as an advocate in the year 1998 and started practicing at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Her Lordship was appointed as an Assistant Advocate General, Punjab (2005-2006) and Haryana (2007-2009). Thereafter, she was appointed as a Deputy Advocate General, Haryana (2010-2023). As a State Counsel, Her Lordship dealt with various civil, criminal, service, and labour matters. 

Her Lordship was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 6th November 2023.
